Abstract
Bu çalışmada, farklı medeniyetlerde muhasebenin doğuşu, uygulanışı, günümüze kadar nasıl geldiği ve muhasebenin gelişiminde etkili olan faktörler araştırılmıştır. Muhasebe ilkel bir kayıt tutma düzeni ilk olarak M.Ö 3000-4000 yılları arasında karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Babil, Sümer Mısır, Yunan ve Roma medeniyetlerinden günümüze kadar ulaşan belgelerde muhasebenin insanlar arasındaki hesaplaşma ihtiyacından doğup geliştiği bilgileri yer almaktadır. Bu belgelerden anlaşılmaktadır ki bu medeniyetler kayıt tutma düzeni olarak muhasebe uygulamalarına başvurulmuştur. Bu çalışmada, farklı medeniyetlerde muhasebenin doğuşu ve uygulamaları ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bu medeniyetlerde muhasebenin var oluşundan günümüze kadar gelmesinde etkili olan faktörler üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract
In this study, the emergence of accounting, emergence and implementation of accounting in different civilizations and how it survived until today and the factors that are effective in the development of accounting were investigated. Accounting appears between 3000-4000 BC as a primitive record-keeping scheme. The information that accounting arises and develops from the need on rendering an accounting between people is included in the documents survived from Babylonian, Sumerian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations until today. It is understood from these documents that, these civilizations referred to accounting practices as a record-keeping scheme. İn this study, the emergence and implementation of accounting in different civilizations were addressed. In addition, the factors affecting the existence of accounting in these civilizations and surviving until today have been emphasized.
