Abstract
Bu çalışmada, trigonometrik fonksiyonlar yani Fourier Serileri ile Türkiye’de Bingöl ilinde 2010-2020 dönemi aylara göre rüzgar hızının seyri incelenmiştir. Yapılan analizle, rüzgar hızının Mart-Ağustos aylarında artış eğiliminde olduğu, Eylül-Şubat aylarında ise düşük değerlerde seyrettiği görülmüştür. Bu durum her yıl aynı aylarda benzer şekilde seyrederek inişli çıkışlı değişim gösterdiği görülmüştür. Yani dönem içinde rüzgar hızının sinüslü kosinüslü biçimde periyodik davranış gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Döneme ait veri üzerinde hata kareleri toplamı minimum olacak şekilde bir Fourier Serisi analizi uygulanmıştır. Analiz sonucunda, oluşturulan modelin parametre tahminleri anlamlı bulunmuştur (P<0.001). Modellerin belirleme katsayısı (R2) sırasıyla 0.638 bulunmuştur. Fourier Serisi analizinin rüzgar hızını modellemede uygun bir yöntem olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
In this study, trigonometric functions, namely Fourier Series, and the course of wind speed according to months in the 2010-2020 period in the province of Bingöl in Turkey were examined. With the analysis made, it has been observed that the wind speed tends to increase in March-August, while it remains at low values in September-February. It has been observed that this situation shows a fluctuating change by following a similar course in the same months every year. In other words, it was determined that the wind speed showed a periodic behavior in a sine-cosine form during the period. A Fourier Series analysis was applied on the data of the period in such a way that the sum of the squares of the error was minimal. As a result of the analysis, the parameter estimates of the model were found to be significant (P<0.001). The coefficient of determination (R2) of the models was found to be 0.638, respectively. Fourier Series analysis was found to be a suitable method for modeling wind speed.
