Abstract
Türkiye'nin dış politikasında Güney Kafkasya öncelikli yerlerden birini tutmaktadır. Güney Kafkasya'da Türk-Müslüman nüfusunun varlığı, tarihin her aşamasında Türkiye açısından bölgenin önemini artırmıştır. Güney Kafkasya'nın önemli stratejik noktalarından biri olan Nahçıvan, Türkiye siyasetinde önemli yere sahiptir. Nahçıvan, uzun süre zarfında önce Osmanlı Devleti'nin, daha sonra Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin yoğun siyasi desteği içinde gelişmiştir. Önemli stratejik ulaşım yolları üzerinde yerleşen Nahçıvan, tüm Türk Cumhuriyetleri ile Türkiye arasında doğrudan bir karasal bağlantı görevini görmüştür. Çalışmada, Türkiye'nin Güney Kafkasya politikasında Nahçıvan'ın bölgesel öneminin tarihsel gelişimi incelenecek, Türkiye'nin Nahçıvan'ın garantörüne dönüşme süreci irdelenecek ve Türkiye-Azerbaycan ilişkiler çerçevesinde Nahçıvan faktörünün güncel durumu değerlendirilecektir.

Abstract
The South Caucasus region occupies one of the first places in Turkey's foreign policy. The presence of the Turkish-Muslim population in the South Caucasus, has increased the importance of the region in terms of each stage in Turkey's history. Nakhchivan is one of the important strategic points in the South Caucasus and occupies an important place in Turkish politics. Nakhchivan developed for a long time with intensive political support, first from the Ottoman Empire, then from the Turkish Republic. Nakhchivan, located on important strategic transport routes, is a direct link between all the Turkish republics and Turkey. The study will examine the historical development of Nakhichevan's regional significance in Turkey's South Caucasus policy, explore Turkey's path to becoming a guarantor of Nakhichevan, and assess the current state of the Nakhichevan factor within the framework of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations.
