Abstract
Sanayileşme ile birlikte kentsel alanlarda hızlı ve aşırı nüfus artışı, kentsel sorunların katlanarak artmasına neden olmuştur. Akıllı kentler, bu kentsel sorunların üstesinden gelebilmek için ulaşım, kamu güvenliği, enerji, eğitim, sağlık hizmetleri ve sürdürülebilirlik alanlarında önemli bir altyapı sağlamaktadır. Covid-19’la mücadele sürecinde biyoteknolojide ve bilgiteknolojilerinde başarılı sonuçların alındığı görülmektedir. Covid-19 ile mücadelede, akıllı kentlerdeki teknolojik yenilikler ve fırsatlar, çalışma, yaşama ve öğrenme şeklimizde köklü değişikliklere yol açmıştır. Bu çalışmada salgın sürecinin kentsel alanlarda yarattığı sorunların, teknoloji temelinde nasıl çözülmeye çalışıldığı değerlendirilmektedir. Bu amaçla pandemiyle mücadele sürecinde dünyada uygulanan akıllı kent uygulamaları incelenmekte ve elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilmektedir.

Abstract
Along with industrialization, rapid and excessive population growth in urban areas has caused urban problems to increase exponentially. In order to overcome these urban problems, smart cities provide an important infrastructure in the fields of transportation, public safety, energy, education, health services and sustainability. In the process of combating Covid-19, it is seen that successful results have been obtained in biotechnology and information technologies. In the fight against Covid-19, technological innovations and opportunities in smart cities have led to fundamental changes in the way we work, live and learn. This study, it is evaluated how the problems created by the epidemic process in urban areas are tried to be solved based on technology. For this purpose, smart city applications applied in the world during the fight against the pandemic are examined and the results obtained are evaluated.
