Abstract

Abstract

Damages to the environment and wastes generated in production and logistics processes, the evaluation of products whose lifespan or no longer preferred by the consumer as waste, and waiting for their own dissolution in nature appear as harmful activities for nature and society. In this respect, businesses should act in accordance with the "green" philosophy in their production, logistics processes and handling of products whose lifespan has expired; they need to adopt green practices and raise awareness of the society in this regard, and be able to implement the demands from the society at the highest level. Green logistics, which is the basis of green practices, is highly important in defining and organizing efforts to protect the environment and to recover or reduce losses of elements considered to be lost in nature. Green logistics, which is known to make a great contribution with its focus on eliminating the damage caused to the environment especially during the product transportation phase, draws attention in the eyes of enterprises and consumers with government policies. When it comes to government policies, businesses also direct their production and transportation processes accordingly. In addition, the consumer expects the product to be delivered to him, making sure that the products he consumes are made with an environmentally friendly process. This study dealt with the concept of green logistics in detail and discussed the projects carried out in terms of countries, their duration and budget amounts; aimed to emphasize the concept of green logistics together with its sub-titles. In addition, it is aimed to reveal the current situation by considering sectoral applications.
